There are very few collectible items remaining for this film!The Crown of Lies is a lost 1926 American silent romantic drama film directed by Dimitri Buchowetzki and starring Pola Negri. It was produced/financed by Famous Players-Lasky and distributed by Paramount Pictures.Pola Negri was best known as the vamp of the slient screen who had an off-screen romance with Rudolph Valentino.The program notes: "The truth about "The Crown of Lies" is that it's Pola's finest film. And she's every inch a queen in her gorgeous gowns. By the director of "Men" and "Lilly of the Dust".The front cover is advertising "The Making of O'Malley" with the actor Milton Sills. By the early 1920s, Sills had achieved matinee idol status and was working for various film studios, including Metro Pictures, Famous Players-Lasky, and Pathé Exchange. In 1923 he was Colleen Moore's leading man in the very successful Flaming Youth, but his biggest box office success was The Sea Hawk (1924), the top-grossing film of that year. In 1926 he wrote the screenplay for Men of Steel, also starring in it along with Kenyon.
