This is a really unique 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" embossed and hand painted postcard of Santa Claus. It has really beautiful gold detail and Santa is in a red coat, blue gloves and garland of holly around his red cap. There are toys on his back and he is peering through a window of a home with his reindeer. VERY DELICATE gold paint (or gold leaf) and paint on the postcard- sold in plastic to help protect it from additional wear. The back shows that it was printed in Germany but the hand written note is covering the logo indicating the exact publisher. The postmark is not clear with the exact year but it is from the 1900's and postmarked in December. 1 cent green Ben Franklin profile US stamp
