Issued by the Board of Commissioners of Currency Malaya and British Borneo. This note is legal tender for One Dollar in the Federation of Malaya, Singapore, Sarawak, North Borneo and Brunei. The note is signed by W.C. Taylor, Chairman of the Board dated 21st March 1953 and was put into circulation in 1953. The note was withdrawn from circulation on 16 January 1969. The note has a lion's head watermark & single security thread (a broken thread).
